Philosophy in my experience is the only department in the humanities in which the students are overwhelmingly male. ehh there’s a pretty even split between women & men in my philosophy department Really? I wish I went to your school. :\ Philosophy professors across the country are overwhelmingly male; I think women are about 20% (though I don’t have a source for that right now). Undergrad philosophy majors are about 30%, I think. My school only has 1 female professor out of 9 full-time profs with their primary appointment in philosophy. She is conservative and Catholic and not a feminist. This makes me a sad panda.$
